The difference

Most banks hand you a list. This one pays attention.

A fixed question list spends your evening evenly across the topics you already own and the ones that scare you. Cytross watches what you actually know and puts your time where it is needed.

Adaptive practice

You pick the size. It picks the questions.

Tell it how many questions you have time for and which topics to draw from. The set spreads across those topics and tilts toward what you have practised least — so cardiac pharm cannot hide behind the delegation questions you already own. Feedback after every question, or all at once at the end: your call.

Adaptive exam

A mock exam that works like the real one.

One question at a time, no going back, every answer scored on the server before the next question is chosen. It runs 85–135 questions and stops when it is sure about you — the same 95% confidence rule the real exam is built on. You get the call, and how close it was.

Next Generation NCLEX

Cases that unfold the way a shift does.

A case study hands you a client record — nurses' notes, vital signs, labs, orders — and the record develops as you work it, so a judgement that was right at the first question can be wrong by the fourth. All eleven Next-Gen item types are real interactions, not multiple choice in disguise.

Scoring works the way the exam scores: partial credit where the exam gives it, all-or-nothing where it does not, and row-by-row on matrix items. After you submit, your points, the rule that produced them, and your time sit right above the rationale — so partial credit is never a mystery.

Where you stand

How ready you are — and how sure we are.

One tidy percentage can hide a weak topic for weeks. Cytross reports your readiness as a band with how confident that reading is, for you overall and for every topic — so “we do not have enough evidence yet” looks different from “you are close”.

  • Safety counted separately

    A second reading weighted toward the questions where a wrong answer would hurt a patient, so a comfortable average cannot hide an unsafe pattern.

Is it actually free, or is this a trial?

Free. Every question, every Notebook, the adaptive exam, Duels — all of it, until 31 October 2026. We never take a card, there is no locked tier, and there is no cap on how many people join. The deadline is the only limit, and it is a real one.

What happens after 31 October 2026?

The paid plans open on 1 November 2026 — the prices are already published on the pricing page, so you can decide now rather than be surprised later. Nothing is charged (we never had your card) and nothing is deleted: your answer history, your readiness reading, and every Notebook you saved all stay put. You simply choose whether to continue.

How many questions are there?

3,869 standalone questions and 68 NGN case studies, and each case deals six items against a developing client record. Every question — standalone or case — carries a rationale and a full Deep Review Notebook on the concept behind it.

Is the mock exam like the real NCLEX?

It runs the same way: one question at a time, no going back, 85–135 questions, and it ends when it is sure about you — the same 95% confidence rule the real exam is built on, rather than a fixed count with a timer. You can pause it and pick it up on any device.

Does it cover the Next Generation NCLEX?

Yes — 68 unfolding case studies, each built on a client record with nurses' notes, vitals, labs, and orders, using all eleven Next-Gen item types as real interactions. Partial credit is scored the way the exam scores it, and the rule that scored you is shown after every answer.

Is there a mobile app? What about NCLEX-PN?

No app to install — it is a responsive web application built for the phone you actually study on, and the reading view gives Notebooks the full width of the screen. The bank is RN content today, across five domains; there is no PN bank yet, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later.
